Branch Technology NASA Moon Facade

Branch Technology, a 3-D printing company located in Chattanooga Tennessee, works with NASA for many different parts of research and initiatives. Another part of what they do is offer space camps for kids and have recently built a new building for these camps.

The façade for their new building uses their 3-D printing technology that looks exactly like the surface of the moon, using lighter scans of the moon to create an exact replica of the moon surface.

After Construction was finished, Branch reached out to us about making a video that captures this unique engineering design and costs very little money.

THE PROCESS

We were able to brainstorm a script beforehand and use a teleprompter for each interview part on the day of the shoot. They read the script from a teleprompter off camera so that it looked like an interview video.

The big benefit of doing the scripted interview is that it saves the company lots of time and money. They’re able to decide all the words they want to go into each script without having to do long, sit-down interviews, and then spend more time editing those interviews down to the exact length and words that we want.

After we got the interviews, we were able to capture great b-roll of the structure, as well as footage of their unique and patented ways of 3-D printing right here in Chattanooga Tennessee.
